Since 1865, many parts of the Hartbeeshoek area, south of the Hartbeespoort Dam, has been owned by various relatives of Commandant Andries Pretorius. Years later, his grandson Colonel Nicolaas Pretorius bought various portions and by 1924 amalgamated the portions into one farm. Colonel Pretorius served many years as a member of Parliament in Cape Town, whilst his wife took care of the farm. Today, his descendants still own and farm on this property known as B’sorah, which means “The Good News”. With our faith in God and a heart to serve, that is exactly what we strive to offer to others at B’sorah – that bit of good news which we are all looking for in life. Whether it is to retreat to your own small corner of peace where you can reflect and find direction, a fun-filled experience with your family making memories, or if you are in search of a deeper relationship with God and the meaning of His Word.
